Creating moulding is our strongest specialty at Central Hardwoods. With thousands of options to choose from, we can complement any project. Our mill can also create new mouldings based off any sketch, idea, or existing profile you may have.
When random width lumber is requested, our straight-line ripping is a cost-effective process that produces a straight, flat edge for gluing, or blanks at a specific width if both edges are ripped.
Our Gang Ripper utilizes multiple saw blades for flexible width requirements, greater precision, and is ideal for narrower moulding blanks at higher volumes or short runs of S4S.
In addition to our in stock S4S (surfaced four sides), most of our rough lumber can be processed through our industrial planers to minimize any undesirable factors such as cups, twists, bows, and crooks to produce a board that’s flat on both sides at the thickness you’ve requested.
From there, we use our wide belt abrasive sanders to speedily smooth the lumber or moulding
Available to almost every species, we offer glue-up processing to produce beautiful butcher block, countertops, and tabletops.
Our radius moulding profiles are sawn from larger single pieces of lumber into numerous sections, shaped, then glued back into place at the your specific radius design.
Available in a variety of species and produced to your particular specifications, our stair treads are both the functional and aesthetic accent to any project looking for something classic and noteworthy for their stairs.
